Working with Decks

Decks are collections of related trackers that help you organize your baby’s care routine. Think of them like folders that group similar activities together.

Creating a Deck

  1. Tap the ”…” menu button on the main screen
  2. Select “Create Deck”
  3. Fill in the deck details:
    • Name: A clear, descriptive name for the group
    • Description (optional): Additional details about the deck’s purpose
    • Color: Choose a color for visual organization
    • Trackers: Select which trackers to include

The color can be chosen manually or auto-assigned based on the colors of included trackers.

Managing Trackers in a Deck

Adding Trackers

  • When creating/editing a deck, check the boxes next to trackers you want to include
  • You can also drag trackers into a deck from the main screen
  • A tracker can only be in one deck at a time

Removing Trackers

  • Edit the deck and uncheck the tracker
  • The tracker will return to the main screen
  • This doesn’t delete the tracker or its data

Sharing Decks

Decks can be shared as a complete unit, which is perfect for setting up another caregiver with multiple trackers at once.

  1. Tap to expand the deck
  2. Tap the Share button (📤) in the top-right corner
  3. A QR code will appear that includes:
    • All trackers in the deck
    • The deck’s color and organization
    • Encryption keys for secure sharing

The recipient will get all trackers in the deck, properly organized and ready to use.

Tips for Using Decks

  • Location-based: Create decks for different care locations (Home, Daycare, Grandparents)
  • Time-based: Group activities by time of day (Morning Routine, Bedtime Routine)
  • Type-based: Organize by category (Feeding, Health, Development)
  • Caregiver-based: Set up decks for different caregivers’ responsibilities

Deck Privacy

  • Decks are end-to-end encrypted like individual trackers
  • Only people you share with can access the deck and its trackers
  • You can add co-owners who can edit the deck’s organization
  • Removing a shared deck stops future updates but keeps historical data

Troubleshooting

If you’re having issues with decks:

  1. Check that all trackers are properly assigned
  2. Ensure you have permission to edit the deck
  3. Try removing and re-adding problematic trackers
  4. For sharing issues, make sure all trackers are properly synced first
